Why do noses run?

Hi, everyone.

I have a few dumb questions...

Why do noses run? And where are they going?
What is the reason for a runny nose anyway?
Are we flushing out brain fluid? How do cold air and runny noses
get together to make life that much more unbearable?

The world may never know.

I conjured up an image of my 'ween costume for 2006.
I had a super seamstress help me with the robe. I have to say, magic can be real.
