A recent search on Corbis for the word "America" (as in USA, not the band), turns up a lot of images of people holding, looking at or thinking about money. Hmmm...
Nearly 30 out of 150 images returned featuring imagery of American currency in some form or another. What is up with that?
20% of our country's image is based on the money? Is this true, Corbis?
More experimentation...
0 of 2 images returned of China (Country, not the dishware) feature Chinese currency (the yuan).
0 of 150 images returned of Mexico feature Mexican currency (the peso). Lots of pretty skies and happy people.
0 of 150 images returned of Japan feature Japanese currency (the yen). Many photos of the metropolitan landscape and modern transport.
0 of 150 images returned of France feature French currency (the euro). More images of people with or using skis than I expected.
0 of 150 images returned of England feature English currency (the pound). These photos were far more arousing. Many portraits and skimpily dressed women.

Man, I love this kind of comment. It's like getting a free-ride on someone else back. Wait! It is getting a free-ride on someone's back. I love it.
